Who We Are?

Mission Statement / About us

We are a farm in the very early stages of development, combining contemporary research and traditional methods to create an ecologically responsible, and sustainable way to raise animals and grow produce on the land.

Our horses are our working partners, and we approach our riding lessons, farm work and treks with consistent respect for our equine partners.  We listen, and they tell us what they are happy with, and what they are not!  We also recognise their innate need for natural grazing environments with rotational grazing.

Our livestock are part of our family, but also, importantly, an important part of developing the lands richness and biodiversity

The poor ex-forest land which we began with in 2021 has now started to develop its microbiomes, with insect, bacterial and fungal growth nurturing a slowly growing pasture.

We have a deep connection with the community of Estevianas, having been connected with this beautiful place for over 20 years.  Quinta de Estevianas is committed to be faithful to the importance of this relationship, and sees value in using working livestock, business activities and land management as a form of local regeneration and fire prevention.

Ours is a long term commitment to the land, using nature’s abundant resources, and our own resources where we are able, to bring life back to the land we love.
