Riding is a unique experience. There is nothing like it.  You cannot compare it to any other activity either with animals, or machines.  When you learn to ride, you are learning to understand and communicate with a powerful and sensitive animal, whilst having the privilege to share their movements, their strength, their speed, their agility, their skill. It can be simultaneously humbling and elevating. If you allow the horse to teach you, she can make you a better person.
